Took my first spin class today. My calves cramped up like you wouldn't believe. Ever had cramps in both your legs at once? Yeah, not good times.
Afterwards, the teacher said my calves are so muscular I need to take it easy on the bike. I also needed to breathe like a biker, not a runner (which she explained) and I need to drink more water. That was flat out painful.
Next time I'll do better. I also won't lift weights prior to class. I forgot how much you count on your upper body when biking.
Please please please let me sleep through the night with no cramps...
